Privacy Agreement

Privacy Policy:

We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our site and data according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679/EC (“the Regulation”) and Croatian EU GDPR legislation. With this Privacy Policy, we take responsibility for the processing of personal data that will be carried out entirely in accordance with the principles of the Regulation and only for the purposes of the ICDHS12 conference.

Personal data:

According to the Regulation, personal data is described as the data which refers to the individual whose identity is, or can be established (‘data subject’); According to the GDPR Regulation, an individual or a data subject whose identity can be established is the person who can be identified directly or indirectly.

Processing:

According to the Regulation, processing means a procedure or a collection of procedures which are being performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether with or without automated tools such as collecting, noting, organizing, structuring, storing, adapting or modifying, searching, insight performance, usage, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or differentiating, harmonizing or combining, restricting, erasing or destroying.

Data Collection:

Data about visitors to our site are being collected through available web forms with different purposes – for instance, subscription to the electronic newsletter. The data that are being collected are based on the terms of usage. We collect some data automatically – find out more in the section „Cookies“, below.

Purpose and Insight:

Personal data is used for the previously declared purposes. The data will be available to the ICDHS12 organizing committee. Besides this, personal data may be given to representatives of the appropriate government / public organizations if provided with a legitimate legal request or inquiry.

Our websites use Cookies. As you may know, Cookies are small parts of code which are executed by the browser automatically. They are necessary for the adequate presentation of web content on all devices, and without them, the use of our pages would not be possible. Personal data will be stored and processed within the legal timeframe and will be protected by using adequate security measures. Please be aware that no website is 100% secured and we are striving to fully protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute safety. Aside from that, no personal computer is a 100% safe from hacking or unwanted downloads. We recommend that you use all available security measures to ensure the safety of your personal computer, mobile devices and browsers.

Subject rights:

You as subjects have the right to information, correction of personal data, their removal, and the right to complain. We guarantee that clients who unsubscribe will not receive any information unless they specifically request it again.
